GroundsWell Community Reporter Training
Do you…
➥ Have a connection to one of the GroundsWell-funded projects, or have you previously taken part in GroundsWell community reporter training?
➥ Have a story to tell about your project, your community, or the green and blue spaces around you?
➥ Want to see your story published in a professionally designed print magazine?
Then you are invited to apply for the GroundsWell Community Reporter Refresher.
About the project
GroundsWellis a research project bringing together communities, researchers and decision-makers to understand how urban green and blue spaces – like parks, gardens, rivers and canals – can play a role in reducing health inequalities.
As part of this work, GroundsWell publishes a community-led magazine that gives space to the voices of people directly involved in grassroots projects.
The upcoming issue will be the third magazine in the series, building on the stories and voices featured in previous editions.
You can read Issue 1 here and Issue 2 here.
About the refresher
This free programme offers two short online sessions to help you develop your story and get it ready for publication.
It's designed for people connected to GroundsWell-funded projects and previous community reporter training participants who want to contribute to the next magazine.
You'll work with experienced journalists and storytellers from Greater Community Media to shape your ideas, carry out interviews, and turn your story into something that can be shared widely.
All selected participants will:
➥ Receive training and support from a professional editor
➥ Have their work edited and published in GroundsWell magazine
The sessions will take place online on:
Thursday 18 June, 10:00–11:30am
Tuesday 30 June, 10:00–11:30am
Sessions will be recorded and available to watch back if you can't attend live.
